On October 12, three men shot and killed NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai’s Bandra area under the cover of Dussehra fireworks.The police officer said, ‘When the attackers opened fire, people in the crowded area thought it was the sound of bursting of firecrackers during Dussehra and Goddess Durga idol immersion procession. But when the incident came to light, the police was informed. On receiving the complaint, an assistant inspector (API) of Nirmal Nagar police station and some other personnel reached the spot and managed to nab two of the alleged shooters.’Baba Siddiqui was a very close friend of Salman Khan and Bollywood stars.
