A huge bomb blast took place in Prashant Vihar in Rohini, Delhi, which reverberated up to 2 km away. Though there were no casualties, white powder was recovered from the site. Investigative agencies have termed the incident as a ‘mysterious blast’ and security has been tightened in the area. There was an explosion near CRPF school in Prashant Vihar area of Rohini Sector 14 in Delhi on Sunday morning at around 7:30 am. No one was injured in this incident. But the wall of CRPF school, nearby shops and some cars have been damaged.Teams of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and National Security Guard (NSG) have arrived for investigation. The Home Ministry has sought a report from Delhi Police regarding the matter. Apart from this, bomb disposal squad, forensic team, crime branch and special cell as well as fire brigade officials have also reached for investigation. According to sources of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, crude bomb-like material has been found in the initial investigation. However, official information will be available only after receiving the full report. Police said that CCTV footage of the blast near CRPF school has also surfaced. FIR has been registered and further investigation is going on. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said that law and order in the capital is the responsibility of the BJP’s central government. But she spends 99% of her time in obstructing the work of the elected government. In the month of May, emails were received threatening bomb blasts in more than 150 schools. Investigation agencies are also investigating this angle.
